Established Learning.
Kindergarten (K1 – K3) — laying the framework of concepts, habits and skills that every PBS child will build on for years to come.
Establishing the framework for what comes next.
Organising learning for kindergarten students is the most important period for laying the framework of concepts and skills that students will use to learn more complex things in the future.
We organise teaching that develops students holistically — in a balanced and clear way — with goals that account for the development of brain skills, Executive Function (EF) and growth in four foundational areas.
Whole-child development, from the start.
From the very first day of K1, every PBS activity is mapped to one of these four developmental areas — so children grow in balance, not in pieces.
Physical
Students practise using their large and small muscles and moving their bodies in a variety of ways — through ballet, gymnastics for young children, outdoor play and structured movement.
Emotional
Students build their identity (Self) and become aware that they have thoughts and feelings different from others. They learn self-control — how to wait, follow rules, see their own value (Self Esteem), and cultivate positive energy, a compassionate heart, and the habit of speaking and doing good to others.
Cognitive
Students learn through their five senses, communication and hands-on play-based activities. They use critical and creative thinking skills to make sense of the world around them — and apply what they discover to real life.
Social
Students practise expressing themselves to others appropriately according to person, time and place. They learn alongside others — and gain confidence in their own voice along the way.
